(Marco should get special mention as his stories i think form a secondary core but most of Tobias' arc is here while the end of Marco's arc coincides with the beginning of the end of the war.)

The whole arc doesnt end til we get to #43 with the end of Taylor. The emotional core of this arc is Tobias though, #23 introduces his connection with the andalites while the HBC uses his connection with the Hork-Bajir to introduce some very important concepts to the story that affect the rest of the series and even some of the animorphs personally (#34, #38). Both of these terrorize the team for a bulk of the middle of the series and it doesnt really end til #42 with the incredible shrinking animorphs. In #24, morph tracking technology is introduced which begets the anti-morphing ray. One actually comes from one of the least liked books #24 but the other comes from the one of the most beloved #23. This is part of the series that people care the least about but there 2 ideas that connect most of the stories. This arc is more about the weird wide world of the animorphs introducing everything from the Chee to Sario Rips to the ramifications of Z-space that all which become some of our favorite weirdness of the series and allows for later weirdness to come in with little questioningĭavid, this is interesting as it the most explicit arc throughout the series and beyond the endgame the most serialized part of the seriesĪrc 4: #23-#43 MM3, MM4, Hork Bajir Chronicles, Visser

This arc is all about why they fight, with everyone getting a reason or two to join the war effort

I feel like everyone likes to talk about making the animorphs a show but I've put a lot a thought into it and I think the book series has about 5 arcs which i feel help put the series in context as to what it was trying to accomplish at different points
